About Andamans ?
Consisting of 572 islands. These group of islands are inhabited in only 38 of the islands. It lies on 10 N latitude with Andaman islands north of 10* and Nicobar islands South of 10*. Due to the abundance of nature & natural beauty you will not get a city like structure or fancy high rises. Its more like living and being with nature. Many islands have restrictions to travel to and one must respect the local tribal areas rules for visiting. We must try and preserve the nature of these beautiful islands by leaving minimum foot makes when here to protect the eco system and the beauty of the islands.
How To Get There & Local Transport Facilities ?
Due to non-availability of carriers in the vehicle in Andaman Islands, maximum seating capacity in 1 AC Vehicle is 5 people including children. If in case the guest wants to accommodate 6th person in the same vehicle, then the guest must opt for an extra luggage van Good quality vehicles from sedan car & SUV cars, Tempo travelers and Coaches are available for private taxis. Local transports are available in entire Local buses, taxis, auto rickshaw, bikes. The transport vehicle will generally follow pre-approved itinerary by the agent. So if you wish to have the car for yourself to places other than itinerary - Pre approval is required, it can be done at an additional costs. Internal travelling from one island to another, the guest has to travel by Ferries like Green ocean Ferry, Makruzz, Nautica as per availability and has to be booked once the booking is confirmed. Seating in the ferry and timings are strictly as per availability Please note: Please be patient because sometimes transportation can be late, and even be ready for some changes. The drivers will not be able to guide you & give the detailed information about any place, His role is to follow the tour itinerary & take the clients to the places or sightseeing mentioned in the tour. There is a common tendency of the drivers that they recommend you some specific places or shops for the shopping. If you feel that the recommended shop is good only than you should do shopping from that place otherwise you can ask him to take to some other place which you have searched. The boats to Elephant Beach are managed by a boat association who need individual guest consent forms after which boats are allotted based on rotation and sharing basis. Due to limited boats, guest may have to wait until their boat is allotted and please note that we have no control over the wait time. Airport : Flights to Andaman are easily available online. The capital city Port Blair has an air terminal named the Veer Savarkar International Airport which is very much associated with significant cities in India. Various carriers offer trips to Andaman including Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Vistara SEA : The Andaman Islands can also be reached by sea. Regular passenger ships are operated by the Shipping Corporation of India between the Indian mainland and Port Blair. The journey by sea takes approximately 50-60 hours and the ships to Andaman usually depart from Chennai, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam. However, this mode of transportation is not very popular due to the long travel time and unpredictable weather conditions. When you arrive at Port Blair, you can explore different islands in Andaman by taking ships and boats that work between various islands.
